Local Resection for Anal Cancer

Anal cancer is a malignant neoplasm. The tumour develops between the upper edge of the canal and the area that passes into the perianal skin. The anal canal is isolated as a separate part of the entire digestive tract due to anatomical features and specific functions, the main of which is the retention of gases and faeces. Squamous cell carcinoma occupies the leading place among the formations in this area.

Preparing for surgery

Surgery

Local transanal resection is the removal of small tumours (in the early stages) located at the entrance to the anus. It is performed under local anaesthesia through the anus. Rehabilitation period
